PROGRAMS

One-on-one teletherapy that works for kids who are over the worksheets

The flagship is the ARTiculation Program: thirty-minute teletherapy sessions where your child draws while we work on their target sounds. Below: how it works, what it costs, and how to get started

FLAGSHIP PROGRAM

The ARTiculation Program

A six-week articulation program built around the activity your child already wants to do. Each session pairs their target sounds (like /s/, /r/, /th/, /k/) with a drawing activity that builds in dozens of natural practice repetitions. No worksheets, no homework you have to fight your child to finish.

The current cohort runs September 14th through October 23rd. A Winter cohort will be available too. Year-round availability for families who need it.

‍ ‍Format:‍ ‍ One-on-one teletherapy

‍ ‍Length: 30-minute sessions

‍ ‍ Age: ‍ ‍ School-aged (5 to 12)

‍ ‍Schedule: ‍ ‍1x or 2x per week

‍ ‍ Where: ‍ ‍ Anywhere in PA

INSIDE A SESSION

What 30 minutes of speech + art actually looks like

Every session follows the same predictable structure. Kids know what to expect, which helps them settle faster. Parents can sit in the next room (or sit in on the session) without having to manage anything.

1

Warm-Up the Sound

We start by reviewing the target sound. How it’s made, where the tongue goes, what it should feel like

2

Start the Drawing

I share my screen and we begin a drawing built around that target sound (a snake for /s/, a kite for /k/)

3

Practice in Bursts

We pause every few minutes to practice the target word, get feedback, then go back to the drawing. Repeat.

4

Show & Tell

Your child finishes the drawing, shows it off, and gets a tiny win. Parents get a 30-second debrief.

IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT

The ARTiculation program works best for kids who…

Not every child needs this program. Here’s who it’s built for:

Are school-aged (5 to 12)

Old enough to sit at a computer for 30 minutes. Young enough to still enjoy drawing as a primary activity

Like to draw, color, or build

The art piece is that engine of the program. If your child loves to create, this is built for them

Have a known articulation goal

They’re working on specific sounds (/s/, /r/, /th/, /k/) either at school or with a previous SLP

Are tired of standard speech practice

If flashcards and worksheets stopped working months ago, the art-based approach gives them a reset

COMMON QUESTIONS

What parents ask before booking

Q:

My child already gets speech at school. Why pay for this?

School speech almost always delivered in a group of three or four kids, on the school’s schedule, working on each child’s goals in rotation. The ARTiculation program is one-on-one and 100% focused on your child’s specific sounds. Most parents see it as a complement to school speech, not a replacement. The two work together.

Q:

My kid has a hard time sitting still. Can they really attend for 30 minutes of teletherapy?

Yes, because they’re drawing. Drawing keeps kids in a calm, focused state in a way that flashcards or worksheets just don’t. Thirty minutes is short by design. We move between sound practice and drawing every few minutes, so there’s no long stretch of either.

Q:

Will my child have homework?

No. I don’t believe in homework for articulation, especially for kids who are already tired of practicing. Instead, I share specific strategies with you (the parent) each session, so you know what to listen for during everyday conversations. The practice happens in real life, not at a kitchen table worksheet.

Q:

What if my child doesn’t love drawing?

The program is built around drawing, so it works best for kids who at least like art. If your child would rather build with LEGOs or play board games, the structure won’t be as effective. Reach out before booking and we’ll figure out if this is the right fit.

Q:

Do you work with kids outside of Pennsylvania?

Currently, I’m licensed in Pennsylvania, so all teletherapy clients need to be located in PA at the time of sessions. If you’re outside PA and interested in the approach, send me a note. I may be able to recommend someone in your state who works similarly.

Q:

Can I get an evaluation before starting?

A formal evaluation isn’t required. Most families come in with a list of sounds their child is working on (either from school or prior SLP). If you don’t have that, we can chat on the initial call and figure out whether the program is the right fit or whether a full evaluation makes more sense first.
